GRADED RETURN TO WORK Involves upgrading a worker’s hours and duties within a specified time frame. It is designed to overcome the effects of an injury and to ensure that all tasks can be safely carried out. It is carefully monitored and developed with the treating doctor, employer, insurer and injured worker. Activities include assessment by therapist, worksite assessment of pre-injury duties/possible alternate duties, agreement with treating doctor, work visits, monitoring and reporting/liaison with employer, insurer and injured worker
WORK TRIALS We can arrange Work Trials for people who have been injured in the course of their work and who wish to undertake a trial of employment in a new or similar situation. Work Trials form part of a rehabilitation plan and may follow vocational counselling and a functional assessment. This assists in determining the client’s suitability to these options taking into consideration the client's potential for work in this area, their disability, their work related skills.
