WORKSITE ASSESSMENT
A Worksite Assessment is an analysis of all parts of a worker’s normal duties or possible alternative duties.
The Worksite Assessment considers:
· Physical demands of the job
· Environmental factors
· Use of tools and equipment
· Psychosocial factors
· Working hours / breaks
· Supervision and training requirements
This assessment can be used as the basis of the return to work plan for an injured worker, and for the appropriate placement of new workers. Discussions are held on site with the employee, representatives of management, unions, supervisors and fellow workers when necessary.
The assessment is conducted by a qualified Occupational Therapist.
